Indian horoscope is based on the Vedic principles of predictions. It is the most unique, accurate and detailed of all predictive and analytical science prevailing in the world. In Indian horoscope, only date, time & place of birth are needed for astrological readings. There are basic differences in practices and in casting birth charts by Vedic, Western, Greek, and Chinese System etc. It is this difference which makes the interpretations & predictions different and superior to other systems. There is two method of casting a horoscope are Sayana system and Niryana System. Sayana System: Some astrologers of the opinion that the motion of the earth with the sun at the centre should be taken into consideration and the successive signs should be placed in the horoscope in anticlockwise direction because the earth moves on its axis around the sun in anticlockwise order from west to east. This is known as Heliocentric (Helios-sun) or Sayana system. Niryana System: for the sake of exactitude clockwise direction in placing successive sign is preferred by other section or astrologers. They regard as the centre (fixed) and the other planets move around as apparently in opposite direction. This is known as Geocentric (Geo-earth) or Niryana system. Indian horoscope is based on Niryana system. According to Indian horoscope Sun enters Aries on 1st of Indian month Baishakha corresponding to 13th April of each year and after a month enters the next sign. Whereas western horoscope as far as example Aries covers the period from March 21st to April 19th, Taurus from April 20th to may 20th etc.Western horoscope based on Sayana system.
