Indian Horoscope- The Chart of Time-Space

Indian Horoscope is a map of space and time- an “image of the hour.” It is basically a chart of the positions of the sun, moon and the planets in space at a particular time and place on earth. It is like an image of a particular place in respect to time and space. If that particular time or place indicates the birth time and place of an individual then the horoscope will be termed as “natal horoscope” or “natal chart” or “birth chart”. The natal horoscope differs from people to people as the planets are constantly on the move. Astrological analysis of a man starts with his horoscope that requires exact date, time and place of his birth. The technical meaning of a horoscope is close to that of a pack of medicine. In any pack of medicines we will find-
-manufacturing date
-expiry date
-batch number
-composition
-indication
-contra-indication
Similar to that the Indian horoscope carries a stamp from Nature and contains
-date of birth
-time of birth
-place of birth
For preparing an Indian horoscope the astrologer will need astronomical data that will provide him with the exact positions of the planets on their respective orbit of movement at the time of birth of the concerned person. The place of birth of a person helps in determining the geographical latitude and longitude and calculating their differences from the celestial latitude and longitude. The main objective of studying astrology is judge a horoscope accurately. The Indian horoscope helps an astrologer understand the psychophysical nature of individuals and can predict his latent potential, role in life, health, wealth, friends and foes, ups and downs, life span, diseases, kinds of difficulties one can face in life, nature of relationship that one will share with his parents, siblings, partner and peers.
Since time immemorial the application of Indian horoscope is rampant in the country. Be it birth, death or marriage, horoscope is an integral part of every event in India. But it’s most popular in the Indian marriages. In case of arranged marriage in India once the marriage is finalized, the elders of both the family exchange the horoscope of the would-be groom and bride and consult an astrologer to find out the compatibility between the two. The two things that are given utmost importance while considering the horoscopes of brides and grooms are the graha and the dasha, as without the compatibility of these two no marriage can be successful, believes the Indian astrologers.
