Indian horoscope says that there are 27 Nakshatra and amongst them 6 are Gandamula Nakshatras. They are Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyestha, Mula and Revati. Mercury is the lord of Ashlesha, Jyestha and Revati and Ketu is the lord of Ashwini, Mula and Magha Gandamula Nakshatras.
Every Nakshatra has 4 phases. Indian horoscope says that Gandamula Nakshatra provides inauspicious results to its native. The 1st quarter of Gandamula Nakshatra is inauspicious for the father, 2nd for the mother, 3rd for the sibling and the 4th quarter is harmful for the native herself. Native’s relative who is related with the Gandamula Nakshatra quarter may face problems and difficulties in his or her life.
These days the credibility and the importance of Gandamula Nakshatras is being increasing questioned. For example one can ask that if a baby is born in a Gandamula Nakshatra then how con she will be harmful to her father? These are valid questions and only practical observations will answer them. While one should not be misguided by horoscope, there is nothing wrong in taking precautions such that astrological forces are aligned by you.
Horoscope says that a father can only see his child after the Gandamula Nakshatra Shanti ceremony is over after the 27 days of the child’s birth. Today where time is very limited this method is not very suitable in domestic life of people. Astrologers have to find a simpler remedial method of Gandamula Nakshatra. The solution differs between different astrologers.
Another important thing is that a child’s birth in Gandamula Nakshatra is harmful for father only when the quarter of the responsible Nakshatra or house is combust. Thus it will be inappropriate if prediction is made only by Gandamula Nakshatra of a native
